Ngan Ho – Introduction

I have lived and worked in the UK since 1976 and as a result i have only 1 friend left in Singapore with whom i meet up whenever i return for holidays. She has mentioned SHC to me quite sometime ago and it was only recenly that she joined your club. She reminded me to join and so i did.

Now that i am retired i can return to Singapore for 3 months each time because all my siblings are in Singapore and need to spend more time with them now that i am able and also I need to make new friends to keep me from feeling bored.

If music/dance is your cup of tea, join us on 31st July for the hi-tea dance.

  9. Hi Ngan Ho,

Welcome to SHC! Are you still in Singapore? I hope you don’t mind me asking which part of U.K. you are living in. Have you ever contemplated coming back to live in your homeland?

I have a sister who has been living and working in UK since 1973. I lived with her for only 6 months in 1987 and went there for a 2-week holiday in October last year. I’m trying to encourage her to come back to Singapore as she is also reaching the retirement age. I suppose that it will be difficult because she has given up her citizenship and is not used to the hectic lifestyle in Singapore.

I hope to meet up with you soon.

    Cheers!
    Angela
