Hi everybody,
Even I haven’t been to any of the Silverhairs events, because of my absence from Singapore, I have the desire to one day join in.
I give you below my introduction followed by what I would like to contribute to the club activities: I am a single Singaporean Indian, never married and have been away from Singapore for more than 20 years.
Am 59 years of age now. I have been in the corporate world for a good number of years, working in Singapore and overseas. Have also worked as an English teacher. Togetherwith my work life, I have always done volunteer work as I like to help people.
In Singapore I was in the Secretaries Club in the education wing. Was a Volunteer Probation Officer with Sana, for drug addicts and later got promoted to Counsellor going to the prisons to work with the inmates. Also assigned to the Juvenile girls home. I am also currently a Raja Yoga teacher (volunteer). Have established Centres in Singapore, Seoul (South Korea) and currently in Kuching where I am still running a Centre there.
I facilitate the following programmes: Positive Thinking courseBK Self Managing Course and Raja Yoga Meditation Course. I offer all these courses for free. So if you are interested for the members, I will be most happy to do it for them. Just let me know.
I am seriously planning to return to Singapore but it will take awhile.

Welcome to the Club, Kamala. I was in Kuching first week of August and enjoyed my stay with friends. Hope to meet you soon in one of our events. Cheers, winnie k-tan
Hi Kamala
It will be great to have you in SHC when you return home.
We can then learn from you in areas of English, volunteerism & self awareness/development skills.

Hi Kamala,
A warm welcome to the Club. Looks like we have a lot in common to talk about as I am in the social service sector.
Hope to learn yoga from you too. Have always been interested in that but have not taken a move to do it.
C you soon

Hi Kamala
Welcome.
I have not visited Kuching for over 10 years. The last time I was there, I had a very good local meal at an open air hawker place. I left some expensive photography equipment on a chair and moved on. The people at the hawker stalls had to chase us down the road just to return my equipment. I have good impression of Sarawakian since then.
Let us know of anything interesting to see in Sarawak or better still, organize a visit for us.
Hi Kamala,
Welcome to the club. I am sure you will meet nice people here.
Kuching? I have not been there. I heard that it is a nice place for a short vacation. I am planning to go for a short vacation, maybe year-end or Chinese New Year period. Can we catch up off-line. Email: susantan06@yahoo.com
Hope to here from you soon.

Hi Kamala,
Welcome and Have fun !!
Cheers !
Hi Kamala
Glad to know you are involved in volunteerism. In fact I just returned from Kuching. Currently I am involved in the SIngai Village Homestay especially with Mathew Ngau and family. There are so much to develop in Bau all the way to Lundu…….In fact there is a project we are working on is to clear the river of debris to enhance the use of the river especially for “fun” in boating and kayaking and hopefully connecting a homestay site to another. Please email malchen@singnet.com.sg that we may meet up in the next visit tentatively Sept.
