We are safe and sound….
Margaret and rest of us (Rebecca, Helen and me) would like to convey
our many thanks here for all concerned members who had called us at the very first
moments when they received news of the fire at Alfro Asia Building on August
10, 2011 around 10.15am.
Fire was started at the 7th storey, thus, at Bra Cafe, they have more than ample time to evacate safely.
I was on my way to Bra Cafe as I was working the lunch shift hence, no
damage at my side la…
I wish to apologise to those had called me but I had ended their
abruptly as I was still receiving other members’ call while at the same time
answering. Sorry, Daisy and the rest…

SINGAPORE: Police have arrested a 66-year-old Singaporean man in connection with the dead body found in a unit of Afro Asia Building which caught fire on Wednesday morning.
The badly burnt body was believed to be that of a woman. Working on leads established through intensive investigations, the police conducted an operation to trace the suspect.
The Indian man was arrested at about 10:50pm on Wednesday in Jurong. The suspect will be charged in court on Friday with murder, which carries the death penalty.

Didn’t think you were abrupt at all during our telephone conversation today. Had no clue at all of the fire as I did not pass that way during lunch time yesterday. Read about it in the papers only this morning and made an effort to check out the cafe during lunch time today.
Just glad all you gals are safe and there was no damage on Bra.

When Angela called me saying she saw internet news flash shows Afro Asia bldg caught fire, I really got a shock. Since I do not have Dolly’s contact, the only person that I can think of is Lily so I immediately phoned her and when I heard you’re safe, I felt so relieved and quickly tell Angela the good news. Glad to hear Margaret, Helen & Rebecca are safe too.
