Using email addresses collected from members for spam mails

Hi everbody,

Very often, email addresses are exchanged during social get-togethers.  Sometimes, invitations are sent out from one member to another member or group.  Sometimes, members display their email addresses on the forum.  As a result, a big list of emails can be collected over time.

Members who wish to send unsolicited emails, please do ask for permission from the members first.  It is not nice to send unsolicited emails.  For complaints, please respect the receiver’s request.

If you have a joke or story to tell, you may do so over this forum, thus reducing the number of complaints from members, especially when there are multiple responses.

Thank you.

  1. To members who like to send stories, jokes or news, please do not email me. I read all Posts and comments from the SHC website, whether I am here in Singapore or overseas.

Roaming data costs are expensive; so while the stories, news may be useful, please do not send them to me via email. On the forum, it is ok.

    Thank you.

  2. Thanks for the reminder. I’ve asked for a certain member to stop sending emails to me. I accept that this is a silverhairs club, and members are getting old and forgetful,so the emails returned. I do not wish to name the person, but i hope he reads this and remove my email address. Please stop sending unsolicited emails and invitations again. thanks

  3. Hi everybody,

I think if one has the email addresses of other members, via whatever means, please respect the person who ask not to be sent unsolicited emails.

Emails received, while a person is roaming, cost money. As I travel quite often, please do not send me any jokes, stories or news copied from somewhere.

However, if you have an issue to address with me, please feel free to do so. Otherwise, I encourage everybody to use this forum to communicate with one another.
