Monthly Cycling (leisurely) – Sat, 16 March @ 8am

Hi Members

We were thinking of going back to ECP for our leisure cycling where we cycle for 1 hour but makan and chit-chat for 2 hours kind. However, the ECP Marina Cove is still under renovation.

This Saturday, the professional cyclists will be cycling from Queenstown starting at 6.30am ending at the Marina Barrage at 9am and they had invited us to join them. We, the leisure cyclists will start our journey from Kallang Stadium to meet them at the Marina Barrage thereby cutting two-third of the distance. If you are keen to join us for the leisurely cycling, please register here.

* Meeting place : Jalan Benaan Kapal hawker centre (free parking)

* Time : 8.00am

* Cycling route : via Tanjong Rhu Bridge -> Geylang Park Connector (along the Kallang River).

* Guarantee very scenic (bring your camera).

At the end of cycling, we will decide where to have lunch.

  2. Hello Lily & Dolly

    Can I join you at the end of the ride ? I don’t have own bike so will meet you guys at the end venue for chitchat & makan session only. Is it ok ?

  3. Hi Lily,

    Thank you for organising this short ride i get to meet those long distance riders at their ending point. Nice seeing Yew Kwong, Andrew, Ivan, Elaine and Jay Bee (recognized you but at a distance so didn’t say hello to you)fresh happy faces despite after their long distance cycling. I didn’t expect to get free goodies as well. :)

    Also a good opportunity to catch up with all of you short distance riders over drinks and makan at jln beenan kapal.

    Stay Healthy! Be Happy! :)

  4. Cyclist buddies……thank you all for your companies for a joyful relaxing morning ride to Marina Barrage. Didn’t know there was an event “Singapore WORLD WATER DAY” happening there. There were so many pro cyclists at the event and we are happy to see Yew Kwong, Ivan, Douglas, Andrew Thio, Malcolm, JB, Rene & Audrey.

    More surprises! The free flow of MILO tasted so refreshing…… oh yeah we also got a goodies bag like the pro cyclists……..cool ya hahahaha ;)

    The new PCN at Changi Beach Park is completed liao and very nice to ride according to some group who had cycled there recently…
    May be this will be a better riding ground for SHCians since there are Bike Rental Kiosk, the beach (water and sand included), the food, the other two-legged creatures (both genders) to drool on….
