I’m organising a Peranakan lunch for SHC members next week.  Details are as follows:

Date: Thursday, 13 June 2013

Time: 12 – 2.30 pm

Venue: Singapore Poly Graduates Guild Restaurant

Food: Peranakan

Transport: Pick up arranged from Dover MRT station (at 12 noon)
Menu:
Soup: Choice of Bakwan Kepiting or Itek Tim (I’ll choose half of each.  U can make your selection here… if you like).
Ngoh Hiang
Ayam Buah Keluak
Babi Ponteh
Ikan Pangang Daun Pisang (Otah)
Udang Kuah Pedas Nanas
Nonya Chap Chye
Buboh Terigu
Plus a choice of coffee or tea
Suggest we order some omelettes… on that day… and maybe one or two more dishes..
 

I would appreciate if those who are interested could register on this blog, and at the same time, to transfer an initial payment of $15 to POSB Savings Account: 005-07995-0,  The final calculation of cost will be settled after the lunch on Thursday.  It is expected that the  final cost should be around $20 per person.

    Thank you for organising this lunch for us. Oooolala, the food was cheap and good. We enjoyed the fellowship and laughter therapy among the SHCians and had loads of F U N!

    Wanna compliment u on being a great host ~ going around to make sure we had enuf and that the waiters serve us on time! Hee2

  36. Yeah Pat, Need a lot of work from organiser to arrange this – we “guests” just sit down and relax but you have to be on your toes. Cannot relax – those who organise activities for SHC know too well.

    It was not just the food I wanted to eat but also the opportunity to catch up with friends. After lunch is it eight of us? Missing each others?. Forming a big circle right in the middle of the jackpot room. Free flow of coffee and tea to chat, joke and laugh till 6.30pm. Music coming out from the jackpot machine can also provide a happy occasion. When will be the next one? Thank you for organising.
