A “Nobody can recognise you picture” competition

Many of us keep pictures of our school days.  Some of us still remember our classmates or schoolmates.  You may still have these pictures in your storeroom,  bedroom or on a shelf in your living room.  Perhaps, if we look at these pictures again, we may not be able to recognise our own faces.  “It cannot be me, I cannot be that skinny”, or “I was the most handsome boy or pretty girl in class”.

If we show our old school pictures around, this may even help us to find old friends whom we have lost touch.  As we get older, our memories go back to our school days, our primary or kindergarden days.  Maybe, during our school days, we went to a waterfall with some boyfriends; and all we have left is a picture, no boy.  Or we went to a disco with a few girls, and then, we lost touch with them forever.  What about ourselves?  Do you still have your old school dates pictures?

Let’s have a competition.  Send in one of your old photos.Take the picture with your mobile camera, as high resolution as possible. Then whatsapp it to +65 9489-4360 or email it to admin@SilverHairsClub.com.  You can also whatsapp or email your entry to any senior SHC member who will insert your entry picture and name in the comments of this Post.

We shall then enter you into a competition by inserting your picture as a comment on this Post.  We shall then see if any member can recognise you.

** You will win a prize if no member can recognise you.

** The member who can recognise the most number of pictures correctly will also win a prize.  The owner of the picture will decide if you have correctly recognise his/her face in the picture.

The prize is the latest design of the SilverHairsClub T-shirt.  Winners will get to choose the size S, M or L.  Closing date has not been decided; but you may start sending in your entries now.

The objective of this competition is to encourage members to get to know one another better and also to know other members.  In the spirit of friendship and fun.

  1. Let me start. This is a picture of my old school days during my ECA activity. Please see if you can recognise me.

  2. It’s very difficult to identify a person when there are so many other faces. May be send an old photo with fewer than ten people?
    Photo of my carefree days:

  3. Heehee, Jassmine

I think you’re the prim and proper one, second from left…but then…

The background looks like some old kampong…is it somewhere in Upper
    Serangoon or Punggol?

Terence: Want to make it difficult for anyone to recognize you? Send in your baby photo…preferably the one without any clothes!

  4. In my case, minus the girls, the balance are boys. So, not many people or faces after all. Tip, the chicky face is mine,

Jassmine, you dont have to acknowledge the answer now. Closer to closing date. My guess is you are 2nd from left.

Kenneth, please come up with you old photo too.

  6. Ah Nee, you are 5th from the left, back row.

You usually wear light/white, so I guess the face belows to you. Short hair, so the same girl,

Do send in a brighter picture. haha

  7. Aiyahyah!

Is it my eyesight…but all the photos are so blur…that it’s already challenging to see them much less recognize the individual!

Charles: I’m sure you’re your handsome self…but I can’t see you clearly…are those men wearing skirts?!

Then I have to twist my neck sideways to appreciate how much you have grown… I mean aged!

    Veron: I can’t even see anything…

Terence: I think there should be a prize for sharp photos, man!

  8. We have an entry from Veronique Lee. See if you can recognise her. She was in Sec 3 with her form teacher. The picture was taken at Changi beach.

I hope more members will participate in this competition.

  10. This is really “Nobody can recognise you picture”. where is Terence, Jasmine, Charles & Veronique in those pictures? I cant even recognise myself from the old and almost faded photos till I saw a gal wearing my favourite dress. hahaha………

I guess Melissa is squatting down, wearing poker dot blouse, no. 5 from the left on first posted picture? Wow Melissa and Terence are classmate…….

    Ah Nee

    1. That’s not me, in polka dot blouse Try again Ah Née.
Terence and myself are not classmates. We’re part of St John’s Ambulance Brigade. Serangoon District.
And have lots of combined activities , (St Joseph’s Convent and Monfort School.)
The photo was taken during our annual camp at Ponggol End Campsite.

  11. Hi Melissa,

I put up my contribution, not knowing you are in the picture. I am really happy to know. Exactly which year the picture was taken, I don’t remember. My secondary has always been an all boys school. My PreU has been co-ed, and being a science class, sadly we had two girls in the class. You must have been from ST Joseph Convent. I really can’t recognise u. But keep the suspense going.

Charles, I had always thot u were from the same school. Guess we have not set down long enough to replay our school members. We can chat at our CNY gathering this Sunday.

And Ah Née, nice to hear from you. Again, I miss your bubbly spirit. I suddenly remember you as our Flower girl at Cabaret Night 1. Where is your picture?

    Terence Seah

  12. I think I have a twin sister in the photo. Everyone said that gal standing behind, 3rd from the right is me. At first I thot that was me too……but I spotted my favourite dress….. Hehehe. Oh ya….. I like flowers, our 1st cabaret night was so FUN.
