Raymond Low – Profile

Hello Everyone, emoticon

Hope you have a nice weekend … It takes me sometime to post my profile (hope not to have a double posting) emoticon

This is Raymond Low, a new member to SHC. It’s my pleasure to join this club and looking forward to make new friends and find meaningful activities here.

I like to play Golf every week and usually at the driving range or on the green. If anyone here also have a strong interests in Golf and looking for a Golf Kaki or have a Golf team, please do let me know and I will be happy to meet up and play with you or Golf Kaki members – the amateurs, semi-pros and beginners … rest assure that I’m not doing any direct selling and MLM.

I look forward to meeting you at one of the club activities and thank you for your attention.

Cheers & Best regards, emoticon

  1. Hi Raymond,

Welcome to the Club! I am sure you will meet quite a few who share similar interest in golfing. Yes. we even have a posting for golf kakis. Have you found it?

Right now i am hoping that more guys would join us for dancing. A lot of ladies are waiting for us guys to show support. Are you game?

  2. Hi Dan,
Thank you for your response … I have posted my interests in this Golf Kakis posting but yet to receive any reply.

I am very sorry as I am not good for Dancing and hope not to disappoint you.
If you have a interest in golfing, I am very happy if you can play with you, Cheers!

  3. Hi raymond

I kinda of jump the gun

i bought a set of wilson golf clubs including everything and I have taken lessons but still have gotten the licence yet

can tell me the fastest way to get a handicap (the golf kind and not the physical kind)

so that I can join you guys on the green rather than at the range

I have golf without licence at some golf clubs in China before and found it very relaxing unless some one from the back keeps hurrying you up

hoping to hear from you soon

  4. Hi Tan,
I hope to address you correctly … I think that I am not in the position to give good advice as I only have a PC and aim to have my Handicaps in 2008 through proper Channel, so that I can play in most Singapore golf courses which follow the international standard. I think that it is good for anyone who keen in Golf, feel unsafe to play Golf without license.

As far as what I know, It’s easy to play in other country w/o license than in Singapore, e.g. Johor, Batam, Thailand, China etc ….. you can also try to pay $10 at Marina Golf course to test your swing and obtain a one month PC in order to play on the green.

I am a SGA Golf Club member, SGA adopted the USGA Handicap System in August 2006. As an affiliated member club of the SGA, the SGAGC issues its members a Handicap Index in accordance with USGA rules. A detailed explanation of the USGA System can be found here. You can click on the URL below for better understanding.

    http://sgaclub.com.sg/pdf/USGA-Handicap-System.pdf

To get a handicap, I need to submit 10 x 9-hole game scorecards or 5 x 18-hole game scorecards that generate a Handicap Index of at least 36.4 for men and 40.4 for ladies. Being the Members of the SGA Golf Club are required to sit for a Courtesy Round (CR)before the award of a USGA Handicap Index by the club. A member of the Club’s Handicap Committee will conduct the CR to ensure that members posses a
reasonable understanding of the rules of golf, are aware of the etiquette required
during the game, and posses golf skills commensurate with the Handicap Index
    awarded.

I hope that I have not given too much unwanted info. If you are keen to obtain a handicap like me, may be we can meet and discuss further. I can be reached at RaymondLow_SG@yahoo.co.uk

Calling all Golf Kakis, I hope to see more amateurs or Pro or Semi-Pro from the Golf Kakis team to give more advice or perhaps, have a social golf session/clinic for those who are keen in Golf. Cheers :P
