Hi All SHC members
I live in Perth and travel back to Singapore at least once a year. I will be in Singapore again in April next year. I am happy to know some of you whom I met with during my trips back.
I am interested in exploring the regions around Perth eg Margaret River, Albany, New Norcia, Kalbarri to do farmstays, fishing, golfing, visiting wineries, etc. I am wondering if there are some of you who are interested in doing self-drives in Australia mainly around Western Australia. If so, perhaps we can travel together or form a sort of convoy to explore places or do things.
Perhaps Mary who also lives in Perth may join in and help to arrange the activities.
Regards
Joan (from Perth)
Hi Joan,
Am interested in travelling to Perth next year. Do keep me in the loop. Thanks.
Joan,
Each year, I try to make a visit to Perth with my family. And, each time, I would meet up with Mary and Stephen.
I must say the Singaporeans in Perth make me all excited. I love March, because it is my son’s school holidays. And weather is cool and hmmm. ??????????????????????????????????’????????????????????
??????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Hi Joan,
Nice to hear from you. I have just returned from Perth with my mom last week. Lovely place. My elder brother lives in Perth about 10 mins drive from the airport. I would like to do some travelling there with my husband. Please keep me posted.
You take care.
Warmest regards, Melissa
I have interest, if nothing hindering me on that time. Please keep me on the loop.
Hi All
Will certainly keep you all in the loop by my future posts. At the moment, am making plans for a quiet Christmas at home. I had thought of doing a cherry tour but was a bit late in booking.
Right now, we are ending the year with lunch gettogethers. Recently I attended a Melbourne Cup lunch with my golfing friends and others are lined up for the 1st week of Dec.
Perhaps the next trip may be during the crayfish or lobster season. Those of you planning to be in Perth then, let me know. Will let you know of dates later.
Regards
Joan (from Perth)

Hi Joan,
Would be nice to meet you and SHC members for self-drive holidays.
I love exploring most of the southern regions from Perth to Albany by the coastline and recent years mostly north to Geraldton, Carnavon and Exmouth. My favourites are the quiet inner towns like Manjimup, Collie, New Norcia and Guilderton. Hoping to drive inland to Williams-Kukerin this month to do fish yabbies.
Mary
Hi Suzhang and Mary
Yes, would be good if we can meet up. Mary, perhaps you can email me directly and we can exchange contact numbers.
I haven’t caught yabbies before and would be great if you have info on where to travel drive to for things like fishing, cherries, stone fruits, crabs. Perhaps places/towns that under 2 hrs drive away from Perth as then we can just do a day trip initially.
Regards
Joan
Hi Joan,
I will contact you directly very soon.
Today I brought my relatives to the animal aunction and macadamia nut factory at Mundijong, then to the spud shed for home grown veg and fruits, followed by prawn mee lunch at Safety Bay before climbing the cliffs at Peron Point in Rockingham – short round trip of 5 hours. The kids enjoyed playing soccer on the beach and the home-made macadamia ice-cream (which is my favourite too).
Mary Lee
Hi! Dear SHC member,
Kindly advise which is the best college to further study in Perth or Melbourne pls? If possible send my son there after his National Service.
Hi all:
It is great reading all happenings of SilverHairClub. I am interested to explore Australia & had wanted to retire there with my half. Unfortunately he had gone HOME before we can even start planning. Well, if it is God’s Well, He will make away. Should there be a room mate when the trip is confirmed, may
consider to join. Hope to meet up at some other activities. Have a great time & blessed year-end celebrations & a good year ahead.

Nor,
The short-cut was learnt from Neely (Thanks Neely), and that’s the few short-cuts I know. I know only very little short-cut, so loss a lot of fun when reading the e-mails and comments. Anyway, what is “belum tido”
Usually, I also sleep very early (a typical family man, complete different from our Tai Lou Yew Kwong). Last night had to attend the social dance class, so a little bit late.
Thanks for your support to us. Sure, it will be a happy (and may be crazy with all of you) event. See you
Andrew…

Dear Judy,
Has your son completed his A or O levels and what are his favourite subjects. You can email me directly and I can pass you all the details for college and universities in Perth. I used to be the guardian and take in college and uni students under the school home-stay program.
Mary Lee (from Perth)
Hi All
Judy, I believe UWA (University of Western Australia)is the best and it’s difficult to get in though Curtin Uni is popular for business courses.
Great to know that some of you are thinking of visiting Perth. Hope to meet you, Suzhang perhaps with Mary too.
Regards
Joan
