Yesterday, the SHC committee had its last meeting. We concluded that the committee was redundant, and decided to do away with the SHC committee wef end Feb 2014. I like to thank Lily Ho, Dolly Lim, Caroline and Geraldine for giving the committee a go.
We shall go back to our structure of EOs, ECs and some members holding certain tasks and responsibilities. Unfortunately, you have to live with me and all other members, as before.
- Event Organisers (EOs) shall organise activities for members only, and have the full support of the Club. They have full say in their activities, as long as the event comes within the club rules.
- Event Coordinators (ECs) can share with members their activities, and their activities can be published, as long as they are participating personally in their events. Non-members names are not allowed to be listed in this forum.
- Mention of non-members’ names and external organisations are not allowed in all events published here.
Let’s continue to have fun and plan for ourselves as we live through our SilverHairs years.

It’ll get very crowded if we all lived with you… And it will be tiring to read thru all the old stories.
Sometimes the old ways are better… Let’s have more EOs and ECs organise more exciting events. I shall commit to support SHC and hope to plan some travel ventures in the coming months.

Sure, I look forward to your travel ventures, ideas and ideas. We try to keep the least rules as possible without getting disorganised in the forum.
All members,
1. The moderation process will now be handled by myself and Fairy godmother. Godmother has been hibernating, still covered in snow, and had a bottle valium.50 grams per tablet. She also had a bottle of whisky. So, she will take some time to unwind.
2. If your post or comment gets moderated and put into a Q, usually it will take 60 mins or less to be released. If it is not released, it could mean your URL link is unacceptable, or the post or comment infringes on the club rules.
3. For Post writers, if you forget to add a category, you post may also be moderator. Same, if you forgot to put a date of your event in the Subject.
4. If you decide to agitate and not respect another member’s opinion, Fairy Godmother may wake up and start to blink her eyes.

Our monthly gatherings can have very good turnouts. Most times, we hold this event at Hans Cafe at Upper Pickering Street; however, we usually don’t see “hands-up” that easily. I see members feel we should give members a free hand to organise the monthly event; but the reality is “Let’s give others a chance first”.
Members also feel we should change the venue, as our regular place can get pretty boring and noisy. Yet, we have not come up with a place, with similar flexibility.
Have a say. Halfway writing this, I thought we can have a topic on how we are managing with our different illness, how we keep feel and how we are managing with our medicine, or the different herbs and cures we are trying.
