Wise Words

Here are some wise words I came across, would like to share, you may want to post some of the beautiful verses that you may have read some where.

Here it goes:-

Age is an issue of mind driven matter, If you don’t mind, it dosen’t matter.

The key to everything is patience. You get the chickens by hatching the eggs, not by smashing it.

Life is journey, not a guided tour, never let fear of striking out to get in your way, when you lose, don’t lose the lesson.

Time is the coin of life, it’s the only coin you have, and only you can determine, how it will be spent, Be careful, lest you let others spend for you.

A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger. The tongue of the wise uses knowledge rightly, but the mouth of fools pours forth foolishness.

Yesterday is already a dream, and tomorrow is only a vision, but today, well lived, make every yesterday a dream of happiness and every tomorrow a vision of hope.

To handle yourself, use your head, To Handle others, use your heart.

Don’t judge each day by the harvest you reap, but by the seeds you plant.

  1. Thanks Nancy yes these are wise words.

I have followed them especially when the going gets tough when these words are needed most.
It would be good if everyone can stick to them when these words are needed most.
It reminds me of something from Confucios that life is a test, of what you have learned and will put into pratice and the rewards are not that tangible in the short term but only in later life.

How many of us in this fast pace, objective and result driven Singapore can adhere to such words of wisdom. It will really be having to take a fine balance to have long and short term goals. Cheers

  2. 1. Humpty Dumpty sat on the wall, only to fall, broke and got the king’s men to try to put him together again. So never be another HD, go look for something better to do than sitting on the wall, and always be mindful that a toughie you may want to impress others as but in truth, you may be no more than an egg-head.

    2. Hot Cross Bun (x2), 1 a penny 2 a penny, hot cross bun. Yes, a penny buys you a pastry bun but if you really want a hot, X-bunny, you must be prepared to pay more. Certainly, a penny wont buy you a hottie.

    3. Baa baa black sheep have you any wool? Yes sir yes sir, 3 bags full. Kids who dont heed the warning in this nursery rhyme usually end up as the black sheep, fleeced and meat ended up in muthu’s curry pot.

  3. Here is another:-

Life is too short to wake up with regrets. So love the people who treat you right. Forget about the one’s who don’t. Believe everything happens for a reason. If you get a second chance, grab it with both hands. If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said life would be easy, they just promised it would be worth it.

Friends are like balloons; once you let them go, you might not get them back. Sometimes we get so busy with our own lives and problems that we may not even notice that we’ve let them fly away. Sometimes we are so caught up in who’s right and who’s wrong that we forget what’s right and wrong. Sometimes we just don’t realize what real friendship means until it is too late.

  4. Hi Roanald Wie,

    Thanks for viewing this post.

Yes,indeed, its not easy to follow these wise words especially in this modern world where everyone of us is looking only at the objectives and the results they can sustain, many of us have forgotten to stick to these words of wisdom.

If there be righteousness in the heart,
there will be beauty in the character.
If there be beauty in the character,
there will be harmony in the home.
If there be harmony in the home,
there will be order in the nation.
If there be order in the nation,
there will be peace in the world.

I have followed some of them during my tough times, though, its not easy but I have gone through and I did it!
I am a good example of listening and following the words of wisdom.
