Weekday walk around MacRitchie Reservoir

Venue : MacRitchie Reservoir Carpark A

How to get there : Take bus nos. 52, 74, 93, 130, 132, 156, 157, 162, 165, 166, 167, 852, 855 or 980. Alight along Lornie Road at the bus-stop in front of MacRitchie Reservoir Park.

Anybody interest in a weekday walk around MacRitchie Reservoir? 

We will start from MacRitchie Reservoir Park, walk along Singapore Island Country Club, climb the Tree Top Walk, go out via Venus Loop and end at Sin Ming for late lunch.  There are boardwalks along the first half of the trail.  The second half going up and down the Tree Top walk is more hilly.

Bring lots of water and energy food – bananas, bread, fruits etc.

    The route is great and I believe air there will be fresh too.
    But timing sar-lah led!!! Will have to give this route a miss :(((
    ………..and wait for the one at END OF THE YEAR??? WOW!

    The route I mapped out is already the shortest – walking that is. You can always take a cab at the country club. It’s only a short distance from the tree top walk.

    Wah! Must wait till end of the year! For MOnday’s route, is there a way out if I don’t want to go the whole route. I was thinking of walking to the tree tops bridge and take a short cut out. Is it possible?

    How about waiting for 3 mos? can or not?

    I was thinking of going but became sick. Looks like my pharyngitis will not recover by then. Also cannot sleep well at night because of my cough.

    So while waiting all this time, hoping to recover, I think I will have to throw in the towel and just say I would like to come but think ‘discretion is the better part of valour’.

    Hope there is a next time. A very good route I must say.

  8. I love MacRitchie!..especially the treetop walk..very serene & tranquil..very nostalgic too bcos I grew up in the kampong area near Bukit Country Club.
    But alas! end month is susah for me take leave..tak boleh la..huhuhu! :(
