Ghost Month

 

Last year I had the opportunity of watching a ‘Ker Tai’ performance at Choa Chu Kang cemetery. There were 3 lorries decorated with brighly coloured lights and each had its own sound system. The performers were beautiful girls with little cloths. They sing on top of the lorries while the convoy parades among the tombs in the cemetery. I knew then that ghost are horny and they will remain quiet if we satisfy them at their premises.

I am looking out for them this month. I am also horny.

Do you believe in ghost? I have never seen one despite looking out for them. The nearest I  get to them is someone who knows someone who have seen one.

During this month,  they are suppost to be all over Singapore, so I am watchful….for the ghost, not the scantily dressed ‘Ker Tai’ singers.

  1. Yes, TS, I believe in ghosts because I have seen them before not only during the 7th month.

    I see them whenever they want to be seen. Once a ghost actually slept next to me naked. As I couldn’t move and couldn’t talk I spoke to him through my mind and it took quite awhile for him to leave. Gone just like that.

    As I see ghosts from time to time so I am no longer terrified. Each time I will tell them the same thing and they eventually leave.

    Spirits are around because they have unfinished issues in this world and they can’t or won’t cross over. For some, once the issue is resolved, they will finally leave but for others they would not leave and there are cases where a family just live in harmony with the spirit.

    What are you gonna do about your being horny?

  4. Looks like the ghosts are getting sophisticated. They are now into currency and stock trading. This morning, they are still having fun in Asian markets.
    We should start burning real USD, US Bonds and Stocks. All the burning of fake money this month obviously does not work anymore.

    I heard from my superstitious friends that 16Aug2011 (next Tuesday) is the day where these spirits are at their most “hostile temperament”…

    They said that the “sar-chi or gui-chi” will be strongest and told me to avoid going out after sunset on this day …

    Since I am not well-verse in this topic, don’t know how true this will be …

    Perhaps the Society of Paranormal Investigators – Singapore will have the answers …

    U can join them as member by registering. U can then post your question on their forum for an answer. Who knows u may be invited to join them as one of their investigators. Maybe the next monthly walk those in-charge can pick Bukit Brown. Its heritage makes it an interesting one for people to redisover.

    I thought Sunday 14th is the 15th Day of 7th Lunar Month and that is the party day for the ghost.

    When I was a kid, that will be the second best day of the year, after Chinese New Year. It is the only other day we get to eat chicken. The ghosts are very nice they always leave the chickens and cakes for us kids to eat. Maybe that is why I like ghosts.

    There were also many paper flags to play with. I love those flags.

    So Sunday 14th August, would have been a happy day for us if we are still kids. This year, many people will be glad that there is no trading on that day at the stock market.

  11. Had tried to google to see if anyone has written something interesting/significant about this mystery/myth or about the “most hostile temperament date/timing” of the current “month”….

    Only found out that 14Aug2011 is the 15th day of the hungry ghost festival ….. on this day, the gate(s) of hell are opened, and the spirits are allowed to “go-out”.

    Hence, the party starts on this day, both for the living and as well as spirituals…..

    Sorry, me can’t remember anything or had done anything interesting on/during the 15th day of this festive when as a kid…..

    Most probably, got locked-up in the room to stop me from roaming out of the attap house on this day when as a kid, LOL!!

  12. This Sunday 14th August after ‘Singsation’ at Jeff Gan’s place I shall drop in at Choa Chu Kang cemetery on my way home. Anyone want to join me?

    I have been thinking about the Ker Tai procession I saw last year. It seem strange that they were a crowd of about 50 people in the procession and yet there was no talking among themselves, except the singing and as they pass by me none of them look my way. There were no eye contacts. Perhaps it was because I came out of my car and was standing by a tomb on the side of the road. My white hair and spectacles were the only reflected light, everywhere else was dark.

    Maybe they thought I was a ghost, or I was actually looking at ‘them’ but I have never heard of a ghost lorry.

    “It took quite awhile for him to leave….” So what happened in between? THEY said, ‘you must have raped the ghost!’.

    Wah. Power man, I mean woman. Respect and high five and all the felicitations and compliments.

    Your prowess is way ahead of you.

    Was the lorry a Mercedes? If so then good chance it was a ghost lorry. I see a lot of Mercedes Benz vehicles being burnt all the time for the otherworld.

    Were they wearing any clothes? See thru, perhaps? Can see anything or not?

    Way to go man, just take some more lessons from the ‘Master’, and you will be more than half way there.

    I think I know who are ‘THEY’. THEY are sooo dead……no pun intended, when I next meet them. Kekekekeee.

    The spirit reeli reeli took a long time to leave despite my telling him to go. How could there be rape when I could not move or speak (always the case whenever a presence – either gender is with me). Sometimes I could not even open my eyes but I have learned to force my eyes open to see them and speak to them from my mind.

    He kept holding me and I was very sleepy and finally I got mad and screamed from my mind at him to go away. He did. Just like that. Vamooze! Gone. I could move again.

    By the way, I am not into raping humans or spirits. Where’s the fun? I believe in lovemaking with a willing partner that I have the hots for……..ahhh…..now we’re talking.

    I had the same experience about 2 years ago. But instead of ‘talking’ to him, I prayed and asked in the name of JC for him to go away. After that, I was able to move but was quite shaken. So, I called my daughter and asked her when is she coming home. Eventhough, I didn’t mention anything, she must have sensed something was wrong and came home immediately.

    Years ago when I was 27, I had my first encounter of this kind while travelling on my own in Morocco. It happened in a hotel room in Fez. ‘She’ was clad in a black chador, and tried to strangle me. Uhmmm…. better not bore people here with such episode. Will tell you when we meet.

  18. it is interesting on this ghost/seventh month to read about how some of our encounters with these spirited beings whether we are trying to capture their frequencies with our ghostbusters’ electronic gadget or immobilizing them with name of our God or talking sweetly to them until they finally leave; in the case of our lady G in hkg, the ‘male spirit’ just don’t want to leave maybe because he just to indulge longer in the encounter.

    i think it is interesting because it seems that those talking about it are no longer doing it in the fears of ghost that we have built up since young by watching movies, tv series and hearing the stories.

    i myself have heard from folks about how they are able to see them being around and are today so used to it that they no longer are afraid of it but because they don’t want to frighten others they won’t say what they see

    Only those who have gone through such experience/s will understand what the fook are we talking about.

    Want to add that sometimes I will get chills and the hair on the back of the neck stands up before I freeze (not able to move) and I’ll go, like, ‘Here we go, again….’

    Yes, do tell me all about that strangling spirit when we next meet and I have a few more to share.

    Indulge longer? Nah, think it was because I occupied his bed so he was trying to claim it back. Kekekekee.

    Little did he know that I would scream at him instead of frozen with fear. Heehee. I got the bed back so go suck and leave me alone.

    As for those who can actually see during their waking life are what we call having a 3rd eye. They see spirits like they see humans.

    Have a relative whose colleague has such an ‘eye’ and when they walk together he will tell my relative to walk more to the right or left and after awhile he’ll tell him something just walked past.

    As my relative knows he has this ability to see, he always follows his ‘instruction’ in order not to bump into the spirit.

    Yes, he does not describe what he sees in order not to frighten anyone who knows of his capability.

  21. All the sharing about ghosts is very interesting. Here’s my 2-cent’s worth…

    ghosts = spirits
    There are good ghosts (holy spirits) and there are bad ghosts (evil spirits). Bad ghosts are always looking for warm bodies (animals and humans) to possess. When a bad ghost possesses a human being, an exorcist (genuine one!)is needed to expel the spirit.

    There are many superstitions surrounding ghosts and its harmless (to the unbeliever)to joke about it…but its better to stay away from the occult.

  22. 8 years back, my son was viciously attacked by evil spirits till he became very sick for about one full year.
    As this was a spiritual issue, no doctors could help him; his sickness was manifested as severe migraine attacks, visual impairment & lethargy…much like one was being possessed.
    Umpteen visits to the temple didn’t help. The evil spirits finally left him.

    Ghosts are indeed real.
    Personally I have seen spirits in form of ‘like a stream of smoke’ where there was no fire, or manifested as noises like the shuffling of feet & knocking on my hotel room door in the middle of night when there were actually nobody outside the room. (I actually peeped out of the door to see nothing!)
    That happened many years back.

  26. I always knock before I open my hotel room just so to let it know in advance.

    A friend told me besides knocking first, she always enters her room with her left foot.

    A relative told me he always rings his own doorbell before he enters his home. Find it a little tedious and will only do it when I remember.
