Hi Terence & fellow SHCians,
We all bunched together in the name of friendship to share identical interests and hobbies and to fill up some perceived voids in our lives. Many of us have working married children who do not need us anymore. So it is all the more pertinent to start smiling at and speaking to fellow SHCians participating in the same social event of the time. In being forthcoming on befriending others, we are rewarded with their friendships. Somehow I got to know a couple of people on my first SHC walk and at the recent dance party at the Kovan Paya Lebar Community Club. At the dance party like my first walk participation, I wasn’t acquainted with anybody.
Cheers,
Terry Tang
Terence,
So you already started off well mixing around. There will be more friends for you to share your interests and subjects which you often like to talk about. Hope you will be happy at SHC in the coming months/years.
Good Luck and God Blessed !
Rgds,
Danny
Hi Terry,
I am glad you are finding friends along the way. Everybody has their way and style. Glad you believe in Familiarity breeds Friendship.
Sometimes, I get asked why dont we think of ways to help new members get to know older members. To be honest, I dont have the answer. Ease of making friends depends on the EO, depends on the participants and the environment. Maybe other factors too. Have fun.
