Great Weather.  A challenging walk and thankyou to all who have emailed and all                                            who supported the walk. No serious casualty except a lady trip over a small branch.   No                                  serious injuries and no chance for lau hero to flex muscles.  No see ice cream pedlar                                                or hor hia ti (heavens know what’s tis??).   Disappointed – No early release for                                                      them for good behaviour.  So, in conclusion, what works here does not apply in Hades.
All of us hungry after the climb and ended off with dinner at the shophouses                                                        behind the BT shopping centre.   Pleasantly surprised to see SMLee (in maroon shirt).

At first glance, mistook for Ah Liu who might have joined to check on his hor hia ti.                                                 Sorry folks if you have missed this walk.    Next walk on   April 14 W. coast or BV canal walk.  Charles,Chris,vw

  1. Not many but ALL smiling and happy faces……..Well Done ! No doubt, another SHC success, credit to everyone who partook the walk !

Now I know why the 18th descendent of sumokong came crying to me. With that brudder wearing orange singlets & blue shorts in broad grins & wielding the ruyi rod so triumphantly, no qn that he is now the new king of Bt Timah forest. Ok, brudder, as the lord of the jungle you’ll hv to live there 24/7 (which means no D&D for you hor.) Regret now?

The hor hia tis too reported their disappoinment…….they cant frighten anyone of you bcos none was seen to hv that blackness on the forehead. In fact everyone had beaming foreheads, some tied their hair up to purposely show their foreheads, and a few botak heads that outshone the sun even tho there wasnt much light shining thru.

Huh, SMLee? What’s that? In certain websites which parents lock away fr their children, sm has a very special meaning hor but nvm.

Hehe, with the 18th descendebt and the h-h-t reporting to ah liu pek in the comfort of his white-blue house, there wasnt a need for him to go there and spy on you all and then get so jealous lah.

Last but not least, Viva Walkists ! Viva SHC !

  2. Hi all,

Was a real good walk for me, though a bit stressul for quite a number of people. But it does bring up a few thoughts upon reflecting.

    1. Many of us dont realise that as we grow older, our heart capacity decreases while our body demands more oxygen as our body becomes less efficient. Thus it is no wonder, there are many rising cases of heart attacks, strokes ,etc.

    2. So, we need to invest in our heart capacity by exercising just to upkeep with the depreciating capacity and increasing demands of our aging body.

    3. So taking up line dancing as a group is both entertaining for the mind, good exercise for the body, and lifting the spirits with music.

    4. Why am i encouraging this ? Firstly i just learn Line dancing with Lily and find yes it is a good exercise for the body, mind , co-ordination of both and also fun to do it as a group. So maybe we should encourage more groups, one in the East and the other in the West , and meet once in a while in the Central.

    5. Second reason . I just had a colleague who was only 45 years old, with young children passing away in his sleep at such an early age. The only good thing is that it was so peaceful without anyone knowing he was going very unexpectedly.

    6. Lastly, we saw MR Sim W H, passing us by after our walk , ready to walk alone and spend time investing in his most important compan, that is ‘his body’ that he cannot buy with all his money. He knows though he can be the top richest man in Spore, that day for that moment i felt i was richer than him. In two areas only, one in terms of daily time , he has only 24 hours aday just like me, but i am more free, have less pressure than what he has. Second area , i feel much stronger that him for now lah at least .

So lessons learned from the walk, value our time (everyone even the President has only
24 hours a day), so we are as rich in time asset. Physical body capabilities, everyone is equal, so it is up to us to make it better.

Lastly capacity to have fun, unlimitless , depending on us only.

So here is towards more walks, cycling, and line dancing ,etc and have more fun while investing to a healthier life ahead.

    Cheers

    Cheers.

  3. Liu sen, wah U really one eye see all. Din go there oso know everything. Guess U must be standing high n tall on the palm of “Got”there of Mercy.

Nx wk U can oso one eye see us at ECP at our cycling session. But 1st, U nid 2 comfort your “fire wheels” as they may be afraid of the water if U are going 2 use them.

  4. Wil make a serious effort to join you & kakis even if it means bullying Najar into lending me his fire wheels or conning Rajah for his 1-wheeler.

Now, what shall I do with the sumokong’s 18th descendent? He’s still sucking the ice-cream stick the new lord of bt gave him, and now homeless, waiting for adoption? Yew care to be father to 1 more?

  5. Will make a serious effort to join you & kakis even if it means bullying Najar to lend me his fire-rollers or con foreman Rajah for his 1-wheeler pusher cart.

Now, what shall I do with sumokong’s 18th descendent who’s still sucking the ice-cream stick, and now homeless, waiting for adoption? Yew wanna be benevolent papa to 1 more?
