A gentle reminder ……..do remember to back-up …..all your data, passwords, email addresses etc etc.
I was lax in doing this, and boy was it frustrating, to say the least, for a computer illiterate like me.
Maybe Yew Kong or some computer buff SHCian could set up a help desk on this for people like me, who at our age, learnt what little we know thru’ trial and error. I had to start everything from scratch, even my Email address. Please take note.
Sure is hard trying to catch up with whats going on in SHC. ………….Regards………Jie

Back-up is impt but may not be critical. Much depends on how impt the data is to you. It can be internal or external.
There are various way to do back-up. I do not know exactly your reference but if you can share it with us, it will do us good.
SHC may not be able to set up a helpdesk for this particular subject. If you do encounter PC problem, you can always alert me by dropping a note here or via email to lohyks@hotmail.com

Right now I am muddling thru’ trying to remember everything that I had, but failed to record elsewhere besides the computer.
If only my silver hair would turn to gold….at the way I’m straining my brain.

Thanks Jie for your timely reminder and it’s touching to note that Yew Kwong jumped out of his bed to respond at 1.57 a.m…..(the woman next to him must be wondering which foxy-loxi has cast a spell on him).
I am thankful that I hv an entire IT dept to back me up and I do feel sorry that they had to hold their backs so up, trouble shooting, for hours. How nice if more gals join IT………
