  4. $10.00 for danz, live-band music and food. Take away the danz, can I also remove 10 cents and pay $9.90?

Seriously, after the Bollywood Nite, I think sitting on a chair by the side and watching can be fun too. There, I saw with my own eyes that age is no hold-back to what we can do if we have the desire to do. The tempo was fast, the music non stop and the dancing folks lapped it all up, and still wanted more.

    Am mulling over it………………….

  5. Tim,

Go for it! Stop your 9.90! Pay the full amount plus.

Seriously, have fun and besides this activity, go walk, continue with your bowling (have you stopped?) etc. Saw the bollywood videos and really wished I was there!! Of course saw you in one of the clips just watching (that’s good) and also when the group of men had a great time at the end. Nice.

    No mulling. Go for it.

  6. Jeffrey Gan #08

“$10.00 for danz, live-band music and food. Take away the danz, can I also remove 10 cents and pay $9.90?”

Can. Tim,on Bollywood nite, we had good time, all the guys dancing in a circle to the beat of “JAI HO” hindi song in flim Slumdog Millionaire.

I will try to make arrangement with social dance nite organiser to play :JAI HO” so that not only SHC men but all SHC membes to dance free-style in a circle.

    So I top-up 10 cents for you.

    “Am mulling over it………………….”

    No mulling. Come on friend

    Francis

  8. Managed to raise another 9 cents overnite which means that I am 99.9% sure to go for the buffet and stay to watch the danz.

Yes, that Bollywood nite was amazing. Can still remember the silky steps & slick moves of Monica, Sasha, F Manga and that amah who drop her bra.

Thanks Babe, have stopped all my indulgences save one which you know.

  9. Tim Liu #14

Thanks for your support Tim. I will top-up one cent for you.

I watched again and again all the videos, I took for bollywood nite. But I did not see “that amah who drop her bra”

I came late 4 Bollywood around 7.30pm. So I might have missed it.

    Francis

  10. Hi Richard Kwok,

Thanks for your support by email. With you, totally 18 members have registered for social dance nite

    Francis

  11. Phew, managed to rummage thru my kid’s piggy savings boxes and found that last cent to make the $10 needed for this nite so yes, confirm I will attend.

Helen-K, you know & I know that I do sing but dont and cant danz so I will let my eys do the searching and ogling. Pls come in your party best which usually means scantily dressed and fate will do the rest…………..

  12. This is really amusing… the laughter has started.. glad that Tim mananged to find that last one cent! Tim, yr on-line jokes are crisp! Roll on….

I’m tempted to let me hair down, and come over n meet all my old frens from Kembagaan… still mulling over it. But it’s not the missing 10cents or one cent, for sure.

    cheers.

  13. “I’m tempted to let me hair down”. And so am I tempted.

For each hair you let down, I will make sure it’s out after down. Dont worry, I’ll save them for you. When you finally have no hair. will return all to you including interests earned from lending out your hair in the meantime. For you, will do more like planting them on where they were pulled out, under your nose and help you hang them on yr chin. And if you like Chin enough, on his chin as well.

Whatever is left, dont waste, I will use them on my armpits.

  14. “Ha..ha… Tim.. very funny indeed”.

Huh, you only read my post now? Haha, Lydia-C, very funny indeed.

Seriously, it’s easier for me to attend weekend gatherings This Social nite comes with a buffet and since eating is not too demanding on me (dancing is) I see good reason to support.

Nice that you too join in for the fun.

  15. Hey Tim.. i dont access this website on a daily basis… that’s why it was a delayed reaction.. sorry about that.

But i noticed that my name is still not on the list….!

I met another SHC member, Freddy Hew, and he is interested to go too.

So can the EC pls include our names? Thanks!

  16. Admin YKW

Please include Lydia Chin, Freddy Hew and Jane Wong in the list.

  23. Hi E C

This function should not be advistised in the S H C because is organised by Geylang Serai women’s executive committe. We bought 2 tickets thinking it was organised by SHC.The problem begin when we arrived at the recommended carpark we found that the whole stretch of Haig Rd is reserved. The nearest carpark was in Geyland Serai which was quite a distant away. We met Francis at the entrance of the CC told him our problem. He brought us into the CC to talk to the person-in-charge but was told that he cannot allow us to park in the CC. It is our problem should we park at the entrance of the CC and received a summon At that time there was also a car parked there. We have no choice but to go home. I think the E C should have more control over suitation like this. Fedup.

  24. Hi Joseph,
Sorry to hear of ur lousy suitation. Perhaps, I can update u on this.

Normally, if it is solely a SHC event, we normally will addressed the appointed member as EO (Event Organiser) whereas if it is a event (organised by other members/ organisation), if the member is attending this event and felt dat others will like 2 come along, member will be called as EC (Event Coordinator).

For all Event Coordinators, it wuld b good 2 define the all details, ie, car park availability, Bus route, etc… to avoid this kind of unforeseen circumstances.

Hv a nice weekend ahead.. Cheers.. Dolly

  25. Joseph Tan #41

My sincere apology for the non-availability of recommended car parking lots as mentioned in my post (Car Park : Available in between Block 1 & 3 Haig Road or Behind Block 5 Haig Road ). I received the detail of car park from the organizers.

I tried my best to solve the problem with cc staff but they did not agree.

    Dolly Lim #42

Thanks for your comments, explaining clearly the difference between EO( Event Organiser) and EC (Event Coordinator.).

In this post, I had given detail about the bus routes, car park availability and the nearest MRT station. Mr. Joseph Tan arrived at the car park, recommended in my post. But, unfortunately, yesterday, all the car parking lots were taken up.

    Francis

  26. Hi Francis,

Thanks for initiating and organising this event, you have done all what you need to do as EC. I noticed you were so busy running around to help SHC members with seats and tickets etc etc. Good job.

Be it this past event or future events, unforseen things always happen in life, so hope ppl take things lightly if things dont come out as expected. If not…. guess less and less ppl would like to be EO or EC.

    Regards.

  27. Sorry Francis, borrow this thread..

Hi YK, so happy to hear that you stay with SHC…. looking forward to meet you at the next SHC event… cheers

    Regards.

  28. Jane Wong # 44

Thanks for your positive comments “I noticed you were so busy running around to help SHC members with seats and tickets etc etc. Good job.”

Certainly, you made my day very bright.
