Indonesian lunch/dinner in Nov

Dear All,

I am taking the liberty to write this post in order not to jam Steven’s email regarding our lunch/dinner in Nov (after taking Ivy’s advice).

Ladies who are joining the fare, please email me at geraldineting@yahoo.com with your contact and I’ll do likewise.

Can’t wait…………..

  1. Dear All,

Just got this Alert on the news. West Sumatra had a major earth quake with thousands believed to be buried alive. So, so sad……..let’s pray for them.

  2. Hi Geraldine,

…..Alert on the news. West Sumatra had a major earth quake with thousands believed to be buried alive. So, so sad……..let’s pray for them.

( Powerful earthquake rocks western Indonesia reaching a scale of 7.9 )

It comes a day after a quake with a magnitude of between 8.0 and 8.3 in the South Pacific hurled a massive tsunami at the shores of Samoa and American Samoa, flattening villages and leaving at least 99 dead and dozens missing.

Witnesses said residents of Padang, and other town and cities, ran out of homes and buildings in fear when the quake hit in the early evening.

“People are panicking. They are running out of the buildings… There are many collapsed buildings,” an unidentified witness in Padang told MetroTV.

Thank it did NOT happen to us on the 1-4th Aug when our SHC group visited Padang and Bukit Tinggi.

  3. Hi Steven,

Thank god that the 2nd Padang trip was fine.

Apparently, a hospital has collapsed this time, thus, literally burying over a thousand patients, staff etc. Just saw another TV news station and it showed people running frantically on the roads not really seeing the traffic…….

Really have to count our blessings that we are not living in an earthquake zone/belt.

  4. Yo, you are so efficient…good girl…dai sek (you deserve all the kisses). No wonder you are now a darling of SHC…Keep it Up!!!

  16. Hi Steven,

This has nothing to do with the Nov lunch.

Just saw on the news regarding PANDAS who do not like our traditional mooncakes, so they came up with the kind they love………..sooo CUTE!!

Want to share this with you.
