Any members already playing the ukulele? I am learning to strum and found it not difficult as the guitar.
Any interest in forming a group?
Cheers

Hi folks,
I retired in 08 after 30 odd years with my last employer, an American company with it’s head office and main plant in Ft Worth, Texas. It was through our long time friend Sockie that my wife Anne, and I signed up as members very recently. We have a boy and a girl, and 2 grand children, ages 4 and 5.
I have all my life enjoyed the outdoors. First it was snorkeling & scuba diving, then for many years it was distance running. I have also done my fair share of cycling, camping, tramping and the up until the last few years, sea kayaking. I used to fish a lot, it was almost an obsession. Owing to recurring knee injuries, I am now confined to more passive activities like walking and line dance, and I play golf a couple of times each week. Country music still rank favorite even though I am beginning to learn enjoy Blues and Jazz. This last Christmas I bought myself an electric guitar on impulse. If I continue to put in an hour each day, I ought to be able to strum a few oldies by the coming Christmas! I tried singing, but have yet to find the right key!
My wife loves learning cooking, and we occasionally invite friends home for simple meals she prepares. She line dances as well.
We look forward to meeting and making new friends in the club.
Cheers
