Merry Xmas & New Year Party at the Marina

Hi all,

Wishing all a Merry Xmas and Happy New Year 2008

24th Dec , Xmas Eve – Outdoor Stage Performance at Marina, Stage@Powerhouse, free concert from 0730 to 0815pm.

 Dinner at Sizzler , Xmas Buffet , large spread of Salad Bar, soups ,desserts etc from $18 to $30, drinks included.

 Then to Midnight Mass – at any Catholic Church with a nice Choir , probably at Siglap. 

 31st Dec, New Year Eve Party at the Marina Countdown , free

– Fireworks, Photography competition, Perfomances,etc

– Dinner , Steamboat buffet ($12 per head) at Marina from 7pm

The
above are just my plans for a free , and easy Xmas and New year
celebrations that will not be costly.  Any one who wants to meet
up and join me are more than welcome, and you can bring your own drinks
and food ,etc to share.

Car pooling is encourage, so first come first serve.

    Sounds like fun. I would like to join in the New Year Party. Wish I could join you all on Chistmas eve, but I’m afraid I already have plans for Christmas Eve. So I ‘chope’ a place in your car for the new year’s eve one ok? Thanks.

    Sorry not able 2 join u as i have my own functions on the eve of Christmas and New Year. Will probly attend the midnight mass at Holy Trinity..u can join me..Joe will be there.

    Christ, For Sizzler no need to book, as it is on a first come first serve basis. Last year there was a long queque after 6pm, so better to go early, however will book a table for 6 first.

    Midnight Mass – Dennis where is Holy Trinity and is JOe singing there ? VWong, have heard Peter Low’s choir a couple of times, so Holy Trinity sounds good, as I have been to OLPC last Xmas. Can join us VWong after Sizzler or just the Mass, free and easy.

    Tim, thanks, but hey i am still sticking to being straight with or without moustache ,and is not even included as one my New Year resolutions.

    Thinking of how to take good pictures of the Marina Countdown in dim light, probably with stand and low light camera.

  7. RonaldW, of cos you’re straight.nvr in doubt but what I find it ticklish is, if this year yr moustache leaves you, your silverhairs may follow suit next year and like that, how to convince people to join silverhairs when you hv no hair?

  8. Hi Ronald, Holy Trinity is at Tampiness.
    Peter Low’s choir is at Good Shepherd. Tampiness is a bit far, I will go back to my own
    parish for mass (OLPS). See you folks in 2008.

    Seats reserved already for New Year Eve and also Xmas, if you want to MM at HT, (Dennis and Joe included).

    About Marina New Year Countdown appreciate any comments or hints to find a good spot etc from those who have been to previous years Countdown at Marina.
