  1. Hi all,

More info is available here at this website:-
    http://www.cldas.com/

Application form and instructions are available at the website. The CLDAS have their practices on Sundays from 7pm to 9.30pm and guests are welcome to join in their dance paying $3 a session but if you are a member it cost only a $1.

  2. What a steal !

In the good old 50s-60s, a rongeng danz at any popular geylang cabarets cost $1.00 for abt 15 minutes.

Despite inflation crossing 50% just this year alone, you get a session (at least an hour) of danz for $3.00.

I hv newspapers & umbrellas for anyone who wishes to queue overnite……………

  3. Hi Steven,

Not skate boarding, in badminton while trying to reverse direction to catch an excellent deceptive shot. I guess the left leg has still some old muscles that are slow and cannot be trained so have to tear them and rebuild ??

Tim, correction you play $3 to dance from 6 to 9.30pm. So it is much cheaper.

  4. Hi all, Steven

Did warm up and injury only happen in the 2nd game,so not a warm up problem. Maybe, the lack of bananas to supplement vitamins to boost agility, tensile and reactive muscle strengths. Thanks for you concern and intention to find out how such injury can be avoided, for the benefit of others too. Especially so now, that many of us are starting to be active again in badminton, tennis and endurance cyling ,etc.

Is there a doctor amongst us who can offer any advice ?

About the NDP line dance, seems many new ladies(have not heard of them) are keen to participate, however please take note, neither SHC or me are involved in this NDP event. Selection will be done by the CLDAS, I just happened to have met the instructor and the chairman and was informed our SHC members like to participate.

I guess if the response is overwhelming, criteria like CLDAS membership, past experience, certain physical attributes will be the determining factors. So for more info check the website here:

    website:- http://www.cldas.com/

You can submit to them directly or to me, if you think it helps to submit as a SHC group. I will be seeing them this Sunday, so your form has to reach me before Sunday else you will have to submit to them directly.

Steven, btw, you should try to submit to participate , they welcome begineers also and who knows they maybe looking for a tall guy like you to stand out in the middle of the group.

Who knows in the next NDP 2010, SHC and Terence maybe be invited to partipate ?

  5. Precisely, RonaldW, and that was why i started by saying what a steal it is to pay $3 for so many hours after so many years of inflation…………………

  6. Hi Lydia and all interested line dancers,

This event is for real, NDP 2008 is real.
Please refer to this website for more details and where to submit your forms :-

    website:- http://www.cldas.com/

However please note this event is being managed by CLDAS and not SHC or me. I am just highlighting this event for the benefit of the line dancers in SHC that I know, who may be interested to take part.

But as there are more new line dancers wanting to join in (most of them are new to me ) I would prefer that you all submit your forms direct to CLDAS as instructed, as I cannot ensure guarantee your participation.

Thank you for your response and interest and hope all those who are interested will be selected and to participate in this special event for our nation. So act fast and submit your forms to CLDAS.

Cheers, and enjoy your line dancing in everyway.

  7. Hi Lydia,

This is Susan Tan. I am a member of SHC but have not joined any event yet, say to say that.
Ref to pt 12, yes, pls act fast in submitting the application form at the venue in the website. As there are 1001 hard-core line dancers in Singapore, there may be a selection required but what I have say is not all will join cos the practice session is under the hot sun of 12 Saturdays, starting from the 3rd May. Btw, I have already submitted my application last week and understand that you can go for your practice session every Friday at Far East Square & Sunday at Spore Post Paya Lebar. Details in the website.

  8. I reckon that if there’re 1001 wishing to practise under the hot sun for 12 days, it has to be love & devotion to the country.

If my assumption is correct, those who cant make the cut or are surplus to requirements, take heart, you too can score high for the country, and sooner than august 9th.

Mr Kastari is on the run. Go find him. You get as much sun as in the practce danz. And if you find him, you’ll become the toast of all. Best, the honour is exclusively yours, very unlike the one face in 1001.

On yr mark, get set………..go !
