Festive season Celebrations

 Hi Fellow SHCians

May I and my Wife Lilian take this opportunity to wish one and all a

                  MERRY X’MAS & A HAPPY NEW YEAR

Do not let the recession dampens our ability to celebrate and give ourselves a good time. Let’s look forward to better times ahead as this recession will soon blow over. Remember nothing lasts forever, so let’s live our lives the best we can and

                  DON’T WORRY, BE HAPPY!

Cheers, have a great time!

  1. Hi Roy & Lilian Koh,

Yes, all of us have to be positive & optimistic, there is nothing we can do about the recession & the global economy crisis, life goes on, hope it will not last for too long.

Though I do not know you and your wife, I wish you & your family have a wonderful & meaningful Christmas & Year 2009.

    Cheers!

  2. A very good morning to all SHC members.

Would like to take the opportunity in this post to wish one and all a happy Xmas and a joyous 2009, despite the gloomy economy everywhere.

    With warmest regards

    Norhayati

  3. Yeah, today is Christmas eve. My son and wife are coming down from Bangkok today, for one week. So, I shall have a busy week. Guess, I shall get my niece and nephews to take care of my little monster.

For all SilverHairs, I wish you a Merry Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I hope those who are working will continue to have a job into the new year, and for those who are in business, to have a sustainable one.

And for the club, many good years ahead.

  4. I would like to share a meaningful message I received during this X’mas season.

    =======================================================
People come into your life for a REASON, a SEASON or a LIFETIME. When you know which one it is, you will know what to do for that person.

When someone is in your life for a REASON,

It is usually to meet a need you have expressed.
They have come to assist you through a difficulty,
To provide you with guidance and support,
To aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually.
They may seem like a godsend and they are.
They are there for the reason you need them to be.
Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time,
This person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end.
Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away.
Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand.
What we must realize is that our need has been met,
Our desire fulfilled, their work is done.
The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.

Some people come into your life for a SEASON,

Because your turn has come to share, grow or learn.
They bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh.
They may teach you something you have never done.
They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy.
Believe it, it is real, but only for a season.

LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons,

Things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation.
Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person and put what you have learned to use,
In all other relationships and areas of your life.
It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant.

Thank you for being a part of my life, whether you were a reason, a season or a lifetime. I hope to be able to be a blessing to you, whether it be for a reason, a season or a lifetime.

Wishing All SHCians & their loved ones a Merry X’mas & Happy New Year 2009!

    Jonathan

  5. Hi Jonathan #4,

Very nice message of the season. I read through; and it has so much meaning. Sometimes, we forget, or just take for granted the people who are around us.

I have my father and monther. They were around me when I was in NS, working and my early fatherhood. They were around me for a lifetime. I still think of them.

    Thanks for the great share.

  6. “I have my father and monther………..” That was great but no big deal.

I have more. I had a panther, it being a philanderer was difficult to handle so I approached colonel sanders whose help he readily rendered, feeding my panther with chic breasts so tender but when it asked for more, the colonel had, to my panther, his daughter he surrendered and tonite you will see them canter joyously down orchard road holding lanterns lit up by candles………

    Merry Christmas All !
