Men’s night – Thur 26 Nov 2009 LPS Satay club

To all the SHC guys,

Let’s meet for a night out, on the eve of a public holiday.  The time is 1900 hrs and the date is Thur 26 Nov 2009.  We shall have hawker food dinner at some open air space under the skies.  We can then have our own chat chat over the dining table.  I think draft beer is available, include Tea-O, tea tarik, etc.  If you have a kopitiam card, bring it along, you can get 10% discounts on food for most items, I think.

Dress:  after office wear, casuals, shoes or slippers, and pants.   Usually, this place has fresh air coming in from the sea.  Cost, we share it out, or pay as your plate comes to you.

The place is the open air satay club.  It is besides Lau Pa Sat.  The nearest MRT is Raffles MRT.  I have always wanted to eat there, but at times, it is very crowded.  If you have a slot in your diary, a free evening, put your name down here, I shall reserve a few tables.

  3. Har! Terence, you wrote as Men’s nite for Satay,food and booze. Guess the Shcian beauties will feel left out.

    And certainly many Shcian Guys may just quietly side-step this event. Those pairing ones cannot bring their other half. ( People like Pao Kong and wife, DanJoy, Richard Kee and wife, etc, etc).

    Aha ! “you guys up to something without us huh!”

    Having said that, it is sometimes a present change to have men only nites, so the guys can go wild and free and ended home maybe with more misery, if found out, hahahahaaa!

    Please log me in for the wild nite at Kopitam, but I will only drink chinese tea and healthy fish soup, ( meow meow !!)

  4. Tian Soo, I have heard from many members that it’s always a pleasure to have Tian Soo around. Thus, I am glad you are coming. We look forward to your smile, your naughtiness and the conversations.

    Sam, I have picked Thurs, because I remember you are usually busy on Wed. Also, because Dolly is not around. So, come along, whatever the time. Lau Pa Sat Satay club has got lots of seats. And don’t forget, you are taking part in the Look good, Feel good program.

    PatrickL, come lah. We must try not to discriminate the boys with the girls. But, you know sometimes, it’s nice to be on our own. Well, the other good thing is my wife is not around. That’s why I am always busy. See u and let’s see what you eat.

  6. This morning..kids & hubby all still asleep..nothing to do le..read newpaper,listen MTV,watch golf..aiyo,v malas!..hehe
    Alamak ,too tired & lazy to do anything…cos yesterday morning went briskwalk..then golf range…in the evening..join cycling gang.!

    So, now thot lets kacau this male thread!

    Hey…its ok to have men’s nite..we wont feel left out.
    Boys & girls sometimes want to have time on their own..
    we girls can gossip about the guys & vice versa..its healthy & that means
    we are still young!…haha:)

    Terence..that satay club is always crowded..especially on the eve of public holidays and weekends…if u want to hear live music…go inside central area..its a happening place!..but think outside is more cooling & less noise.

    So,have fun you guys!

    Perhaps we can have our girls nite out another time..think its gonna be more
    crazy!

  11. @4 Terence, you said you are busy when your wife is not around. I thought the other way round. I hope I can be “busy” without my wife around hahaha!

    Well, decided to attend the All Men’s Nite for obvious reason. Have graciously inform Robert Quek of my decision.

    If time allows, will come over to LPS Satay Club after attending the Talk on Diamonds…… ya! D-I-A-M-O-N-D-S.

  17. @14 Ivan, a drinker knows his drink well. Will be happy if you supply Louis XIII but not with satay. Satay does well
    with beer being barbecue stuff, is very heaty. Beer is best.

    Too bad I do not drink much now but have a wide stock of XOs, Red wines, etc at my Bar showcase during my years of travel accumulation. A social drinker of sort. Will arrange a private drink session with beautiful ladies around. How does that sound huh! hahahaa!

    Let’s party the nite on Thursday guys, with guys and stay sober.

    Thanks for the company and good chit-chat …… although it was a (men’s only) night-out, we got “spot-checked” by two ladies from ………… lucky ahhhh! None of us are their hubby ………… if not arhhhhh we will be in hot …. !
    Terence, next time, better specify that spot-check also not allowed …….. if not (arrrhhh) how can we enjoy our Brandy and Jin peacefully ….. :)
