This is an inspiring speech that I wish to share if anyone has not seen this video.  It is only about 15mins but it really makes me questions myself.

We should maintain that energy, passion, strong faith in ourselves and dreams regardless of age.

  1. Thks Renee for this video, and it comes exactly as what Andrew has just stated that is sharing of knowledge, info and experience.

Secondly the message in the video, in 3 parts, coincididentally repeating Edwin’s dramatic story with the same 3 main themes. As though Edwin’s story was not moving enough but to hear Steve’s message it sort of bring me to one message, ‘What matters most in life? ”

Friends, family may leave you, but your commitment to do what you love, appreciating it as God’s give and wanting to share it with others is what matters.

This is what Steve’s love for Calligraphy ( a non material thing that no strong career minded guy would want to spend time on , let alone take it as a career) that leads him to continue being successful.

Even when he failed the first time after being let down by the person he was trying to help. He continued this love of calligraphy and arts that brought him not only his current success but also to meet his real love, his current wife.

He faced death and that thought him an even bigger lesson, do what you love no matter what it is, be passionate about it and share it with others, for that is what life is. Thank God for this love and passion to do it.

Learning such dramatic stories from 2 person in a day, and facing what i am going through , made me realise i have to spend more time doing what i like and things that matters, even if it means earning less and living a simpler life.

Naked we came, naked we will live this earth. Hope what i share can make some sense in some way, if not to anyone hopefully to myself, so sorry if i am taking this space up.

So thanks Edwin, Rene, keep on sharing your music, and whatever you think should be shared, like Steve says, the dots will just connect when you look back at it in 10 years time.

    Cheers

  2. Thanks Rene.

I see a man seemingly agitated & excited but for what, i dunno. People owed him $? His wife ran away?

    Wished my computer has sound.

  3. hi Rene

  4. Hi Henry

Download speeds are outside the control of SHC website. U-tube is an external site. I guess U-tube is heavily used, and this explains the slow speed.

  5. Hi,

Trying to play video on-line depends greatly with the speed performance of your computer and the Broadband Download Speed. Secondary is how your connection is routed to the site (direct or went round the world) and the usage load on that site and line at that moment. One possible way is to download the file and play it later but U-tube don’t allows such conveniences.

    Happy surfing.

    Cheers,
    Ronald Lee

  6. Technical note: Just let U-tube to take its time to run its full course and then play it again when it is loaded. You’ll have a smooth video. No sound card? Learn to read lips.

“Follow your heart” is exactly what you should do in retirement. And nothing can be more approropiate in those golden years than to try “live everyday like its your last”. But if its your last supper try at least for once to “stay full and stay wise”.

  7. I think what Tim needs is a pair of speakers.

Actually, we can follow our heart even before retirement. But sometimes we are afraid of moving out of our comfort zone and hence settle for the familiar, even though we are aware it is not the best.

  8. Mention the word ‘investments’ (be it stocks, futures, forex or other ventures..) and many people have painful experiences to narrate. Aren’t they following their heart or is this a combination
of ignorance, fear and greed? To add on, lack of financial intelligence to understand, analyze and hunger for knowledge had failed them and thus, become foolish.

Stay hungry to enrich yourself to combat foolishness. Learning experiences makes a person wiser.

  9. Hi rene,

With 2888 and “so easy to prosper”, you should be the last to complain. It is nearly halfway through the autotrading competition. Is your crosshairs on the $30K prize yet.

Learning may make you wiser. But is only making money which will make you richer. Take one second to make up your mind. Spend the rest of the time just doing it.
