Sunday Entrepreneurship @10am

My fellow SHC members
Now that more restriction will be lifted from 29 March, there may be more opportunities lie ahead.
We are here to share ideas and if we can contribute to society will be perfect.
The whole idea is to develop a system or business model and get the youngsters to get involve.
One example is the XXX Fried rice. The founder created the recipe and develop a system. He engaged young people to run the business.
Therefore do join the zoom tomorrow 10am, maybe someone up their has an idea, no idea is too ridiculous.
Thank you and look forward o speak to members tomorrow morning @10am

Thank You Terence for letting me had so many nice friends in SHC

Update on my hospital adventure Jun 2021

I’m glad to hear your surgery went well. .
So glad that you are on the mend after your surgery
Life can sometimes feel a little uncertain. However, one thing is sure, and that is the fact that it is still a beautiful world, filled with the love of those who hold you .
We are those people, cheer leading for you to come through this current challenge. You are in our thoughts.

We’re sending you all of the good and healthy vibes.

Warmest wishes for a speedy recovery.

What a wonderful world!

I just like to share this beautiful song from Louis Armstrong. It brings reminder to all the good things we had and it just great to be alive. To be able to hug, to hold and to have. The good things we have done are always forgotton but the bad are never forgotten. And who was it who said to “offer the other cheek”?

https://youtu.be/rBrd_3VMC3c

I just joined the “Zipper Club” Had my triple bypass on December 2 and on the road to recovery. Now I am more familiar with term like stent, balloon. An open heart operation is something to reckon with and it something more and more people would come to term with.

I was warded at TTS Hospital on November 20 and transferred to National Heart Centre till today. I just can’t wait to go home, it so boring here.

Desperate Dan.

Renting in JB for stay, for trial one year

For a few years, the Club has been discussing options to stay in JB. Different groups have their own plans and preferences. Others have form their own small groups to stay together. And a few others have already set foot in JB.

To get started, Poh Heng and myself are intending to rent a place in JB, initially for 1 year. Here are our basic considerations. Feel free to form your own group and your own choices. Our targets are:

1. A 2 storey house with a garden.

2. 4 bed rooms, both floors

3. Preferred Part of Gated community.

4. Nearness to 1st or 2nd link.

5. Target budget, including 1 year rental, electricity, water and part time help.

I have only 2 rooms left to share. To join us, deposit for 3 mths rental SGD 900.

6. Estimated start of stay Nov 2022.

If you like to join this program, pls whatsapp “JB rental stay” to 9489 4360.

How much do you know about DECEMBER?

The 12th and final month of the year in our modern-day Gregorian Calendar. However, did you know it was originally the 10th month of the Roman calendar until 153 BC. Hence, December comes from the Latin word decem, meaning “ten”.  Later, the months of January and February were created out of the monthless period and added to the beginning of the calendar, but December retained its name.

Born in December are considered special, according to science. They are either Sagittarius or Capricorn. Sagittarians are known to be extremely generous, idealistic, and downright hilarious.

Five (5) scientifically proven benefits of being born during the holiday season: –

  1. They are more likely to live longer – higher chances of living up to the age of 105, or even longer.
  2. They are less irritable – being born in winter months, showed fewer temper tantrums which means they are nicer people.
  3. They are pretty healthy – have a lower risk of developing major health conditions, including cardiovascular disease.
  4. They are a morning person – though there are plentiful ones born in other months, born in December tend to follow this golden rule – Early to Bed, and Early to Rise.
  5. They are Rare – it’s a fact that babies are considered rare, especially if they are born on Christmas Day, December 25, making it more special.

On behalf of SilverHairsClub – we would like to wish those SHCians born to this month a wonderful HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

PS – do drop a line or 2 to greet them a joyous month!

November – 2 months to Countdown

We have only 2 months left before 2021 wraps up to make way for 2022 – what a year it has been.  Singapore is shining bright this month with that extra sparkle, our streets are once again dressed to with magnificent lights and decorations, in celebration of Deepavali and Christmas.

TIME OUT – Things to do

Just to single out a few of the above instead of bottling yourself at home – of course our utmost care and concern is STAY HEALTHY n STAY SAFE.

What should I do for my birthday in November?

  • Do something on your Bucket List
  • Splurge yourself on a Treat
  • Take a day OFF whether from work or from your close ones
  • Spend the whole day doing 1 thing you haven’t had time to do

On behalf of SilverHairsClub – we would like to wish those SHCians born to this month a wonderful HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

PS – do drop a line or 2 to greet them a joyous month!

NO TRICK OR TREAT THIS HALLOWEEN

Halloween is lurking just around the corner but the coronavirus pandemic and current restrictions limit us from engaging such high-risk activity especially for the young ones.

Safe things to do on Halloween at home:-

  1. Watch Halloween Movie Marathon
  2. Candy Hunts with your grandchildren – hide it around your house or backyard for them to find
  3. Hold a Zoom costume party with loved ones abroad – get dressed up and see who is the most creative youngster
  4. Decorate Halloween themed face mask
  5. Tell a ghost story – really love the Legend of the Sleepy Hollow

Many more ideas you can think of to interact with your grandchildren.

We need to slow down current community transmission which have doubled or tripled over the past weeks. Do take extra precautions to safeguard the wellbeing of our seniors as well as juniors and to seek medical attention immediately if they are unwell.

Just stay in on Halloween, let’s work together to help stop the spread of coronavirus and protect our family.
