My bold adventure bore fruit in my 2nd attempt when I predicted 3 numbers in Row 3 for the last TOTO draw on 15 July actually came out 3 numbers. Since I did not provide the actual numbers there is no guarantee that you would have won even if you did follow may advice but I believe I shortened the speculative odds in your favour.

Let’s see how I fare in horse racing today with 3 VAL-BETS(value in winning chances with decents odds).

They are rACE 4 NUMBER 3 BAY OF ISLAND…Race 7 number 4 EQUIENCE…and Race 9 number 2 VILLIAN.

As a bonus I am throwing in the best forecast for the day in Race 11 even it shall not count in the VAL-BET tally in my adventure in racing Investments. The forecast in Race 11 should be on number 8 with number 2. The names are Maple Star and Grecian Choice . Maple Star is favoured to win the race and Grecian Choice can possibly upset at odds paying  a decent payout

I wonder if I was plain lucky in my TOTO speculation or that is some methdology to my theories…waiting for the knives and guns around the corner. I don’t mind getting hit by super soakers , paint balls or poop gun…let’s discuss.

I made a tip on a HKG race last week and the horse was not in the top 3. As all of you in SHC know my knowledge of Mandarin is a big fate zero. My copy and paste of my HKG tipster friend shud be authentic as some parts are in Mandarin. Since this is the last day of the HKG season this tip is only for a matter of interest and we will serious R.O.I analysis only for HKG races later in the year. I have had a favourable start with a 1.68 return for my VAL-BETS but the average return is 1.05 to 1.2.

This is the last raceday of the season; I would like to thank everyone for their support of sum shui.  Excluding this last raceday, sum shui was given out on 82 Hong Kong racedays.  A 1 point bet on each sum shui will result in a total of 87.25 points, for a return of +7.72%.
 
Sum shui will be back in early September for another season of Hong Kong racing.
 
My sum shui for Wednesday is R6#4 Mr Vigorous ????. In other words he made the equivalent of SG$436.25 from an investment of  SG$410 (not counting the result of today’s races).Please note that his bnets are based on single win bets of HKG$10 and dividends are based on HKG tote. I am tabulating the points based on SG $ equivalent to make it easier to understand. My friend is a pro making a living from investing in horses and he provides one free tip per race day to his mailing list as a means of advertising.

Jeffrey and I are holding this Salsa night for all dance enthusiasts. Jeffrey Gan will conduct a workshop for all to learn the basic of Salsa dance.

It will be a night to relax and enjoy yourselves in the cosy studio which is able to accomodate up to 100 pax. Music and live band support will be played for all other dances too. Come and visit and get to meet new friend and practice your dancing.

Meet at Changi Ferry Point Terminal (same place as departure by bumboat to Pulau Ubin) at 8 a.m. Depart for Pengarang at 8.15 a.m. sharp. Registration is required.

Specially caters for 1st time cyclists to Malaysia. Others are welcome to join.

Restricts to 1 boat of 13 or whatever confirmed number. Cost of charter will be shared out. Normal charge : $9 per person. Bike fee : $2 per bike.

PENGARANG

It’s an area at the southeastern tip of Johor, to the south of Desaru. The name is usually used to cover the dock and immigration post at Pengarang, the village of Kampong Pengilih and the town of Sungai Rengit.

Going there by boat
Sungei Rengit is 17km from Tanjong Pengilih Ferry Terminal, the landing point where you arrive by ferry from Singapore.
Bumboats shuttle from Singapore’s Changi Point Ferry Terminal to Pengarang from 7am in the morning, first ferry service to 4pm in the afternoon, last ferry service. The journey takes about an hour and costs $9 per person, plus $2 for a bicycle.

Sightseeing
Pengarang was the site of a major WW2-era British coastal battery. The part of it at Pengilih, right next to the immigration point, is open to the public but in a state of nature, with no trails, signs, etc.
Chinese temples are quite common sight. There is one particular one which houses a large Goddess of Mercy guarding its entrance.
There is also an Ostrich Farm, one you don’t get to see in Singapore breeding about 300 ostriches. For a small price, you get to taste ostrich egg, satay, soup and meat.

Bicycle rental
Will rent them from bicycle shop at Changi Village @ S$10 for whole day. Helmets, good if u have your own otherwise will rent them at $?.

What to buy
Chinese pastries in are popular souvenirs. Many people are tempted to bring home in quantities.

Eating
Many popular Chinese restaurants serving delicious seafood offer mouth-watering signature dishes. There are also the nightly food stalls selling crunchy Ramly burgers, and irresistible char kuey teow.

Staying overnight
Hotels here may not be your best but are fine just for resting for the night. MYR30 per person on twin/triple sharing.

Talking about buying and selling shares; we all have our own ways to play shares.  There are the brokers and there are the online platforms.  There are charts, and there are gut feels, and there are hear says.

I shall be organising a series for those who are interested in buying and selling shares.  I have met SHCians from different trading companies.  The dates have still to be confirmed.  But, to start with, we have someone Abel Tan, who buys and sells almost daily.  I would classify his style as gambling; and he is not shy about it.

Next week, Wed 7 July, Abel will be at the Brastilava Caffe.  Starts 4.30 pm and ends 6pm.  He will share with us his style of buying and selling shares.  No statistical proofs; And, he stresses its gambling stocks with merely acquired experience.  If you are interested, put your name here to get a seat.

This is a trip for those who dare to challenge themselves under the hot weather to cycle on rolling terrain.

This is a race event but cycling under non-competitive category “Recreational”. The ride will take you through villages and scenic countryside amidst hot weather and rolling terrain.

6.30 – 7.00 p.m. : All cyclists ride back to start point to return bikes n go for dinner at nearby food joints.
